A41 Brent Cross Flyover

There is a weight restriction of 7.5 tonnes on the A41 Brent Cross Flyover.

TfL introduced the weight limit to make sure the flyover remains safe for everyone using it. While the flyover does not pose any immediate risk to people using it, these measures avoid any further damage to the flyover while a long-term plan for its future is developed.

Vehicles over 7.5 tonnes

There is an alternative signed diversion route for all vehicles exceeding 7.5 tonnes gross weight. This uses the off-slips onto the A406/A41 Brent Cross elevated mid-level roundabout.

Vehicles over 7.5 tonnes must either:

  • Follow the signs for the short diversion using the A406/A41 mid-level roundabout or
  • Use alternative routes

Check before you travel and leave more time for your journey.

Vehicles under 7.5 tonnes can continue to use the flyover

  • The mid level roundabout may be busier
  • Leave more time for your journey
  • TfL will be monitoring and managing traffic in the area to minimise congestion
