Pay to drive in London

You may need to pay the Congestion Charge, Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) and/or the Low Emission Zone charges to drive in London. Your number plate (Vehicle Registration Mark) will tell us which charges you need to pay.

From 7 April 2025, charges will apply for Blackwall and Silvertown tunnel
crossings.

If you sign up for Auto Pay, your tunnel crossing charges will
be paid automatically.

Discounts or exemptions won't be applied to your vehicle unless you sign in to your account.

Congestion Charge and ULEZ charge

You can pay for the Congestion Charge and ULEZ charge for up to three previous days, today, the next day, or for a custom date range.

LEZ charge

You can pay for the LEZ charge for up to three previous days, today or any day up to 90 days in the future.

Lorries over 12 tonnes

Lorries over 12 tonnes (gross vehicle weight) operating in Greater London must have a HGV safety permit to prove they meet the Direct Vision Standard (DVS).
