Stretching 79.5 miles (128km) from the lost floodplains of Richmond to the Dickensian stretches of the eastern marshes, the Thames Path offers walkers lots to see and do.

Signs
Between west London to the end of the route at the Thames Barrier in Greenwich, look out for the Thames Path National Trail symbol. Beyond the Thames Barrier, the route is way-marked with the Thames Barge Symbol.

North bank
Hampton Court to Albert Bridge (Section 1 - north bank) is split into four segments.
- Section 1a: Hampton Court Palace to Radnor Gardens
- Section 1b: Radnor Gardens to Kew Bridge
- Section 1c: Kew Bridge to The Crabtree, Fulham
- Section 1d: The Crabtree, Fulham to Albert Bridge
- Section 2: Albert Bridge to Tower Bridge
- Section 3: Tower Bridge to Greenwich
- Section 4: Greenwich to East India Docks
South bank
Teddington Lock to Battersea Park (Section 1 - south bank), Tower Bridge to Thames barrier (Section 3 - south bank) and Thames Barrier to River Darent (Section 4 - south bank) are split into segments.
