18-25 Care Leaver Oyster photocard
Who it's for
You must be:
- A London care leaver
- Aged between 18 and 25
- Living in a London borough
- Getting no other free or discounted travel
What you get
You get 50% off:
- Adult pay as you go bus and tram fares
- Adult 7 Day or monthly (up to 12 months) Bus & Tram Passes
- On monthly (£20) or annual (£120) Santander Cycles subscriptions
Before you apply
To take part in the scheme, you need to tell your responsible London borough that you're interested in applying. If you're eligible, they'll share your data with TfL and you can then apply.
To apply, you need:
- Your active email address
- Digital photo of you which must be a .jpg, .bmp or .gif file and be less than 6MB
- Details of a debit or credit card registered to a London borough address and pay £20
Apply online
The first step is to set up a photocard web account.
Use a different email address if you already have an online account for another Oyster card.
After you apply
- Once your photo has been accepted and your application is successfully completed, your 18-25 CL Bus & Tram Discount Oyster photocard will usually arrive within 2 weeks
- To check your application status, sign in to your photocard web account
- Once you get it, add money to pay as you go or a Bus & Tram Pass
- Always touch in at the start of each bus or tram journey
- You can add pay as you go credit or buy a Bus & Tram Pass online by signing in to your photocard web account, at Oyster Ticket Stops or Tube stations
- Keep your card safe. Don't let anyone else use your photocard
- Use your photocard web account to manage your card or report it lost, stolen or damaged
When it expires
Your photocard is valid until the day before your 26th birthday.
